DESCRIPTION:Burn Survivor Family Weekend offers individuals and families impacted by burn injuries a meaningful space to connect\, heal\, and grow together. This special weekend brings burn survivors and their loved ones together with others on similar journeys\, fostering community\, encouragement\, and hope. \n\n\n\nThrough shared experiences\, supportive programming\, and time to relax and have fun\, families can strengthen bonds while continuing the healing process\, both individually and together. All ages are welcome\, and families are defined by you. The only requirement is that one attendee has experienced a burn injury. If minors attend\, a parent or legal guardian must be present throughout the weekend. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a weekend of connection\, restoration\, and renewed strength as we welcome spring together.

Produced in partnership with the Cartersville Fire Department and Cartersville Police Department\, this meaningful community event brings together runners\, walkers\, families\, and supporters of all ages to honor the lives lost\, the families forever impacted\, and the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call without hesitation.  \n\n\n\nThe morning will include a powerful pre-race program and presentation of the colors by the Cartersville Fire Department Honor Guard\, setting the tone for a day of reflection\, unity\, gratitude\, and remembrance. Whether you run\, walk\, or simply stand in support\, we invite you to join us in honoring those who gave so much\, thanking those who continue to serve our communities today\, and ensuring that the courage\, sacrifice\, and unity born on September 11\, 2001\, are never forgotten. \n\n\n\nRunners will enjoy a unique course loved by NW GA Runners\, with a memorable turnaround through the bay of Fire Station #1\, complete with cheering firefighters and water for the return leg.
